Welcome to Aberdeen Muslim Achievement Awards (AMAA), created by AberdeenMuslims.org; where we celebrate the achievements of the North East of Scotland’s diverse community.

AMAA’s vision is to promote ambition, healthy competitiveness and social responsibility within the North East of Scotland's community through the recognition of effort and excellence.  At AMAA we realise that effort is just as praiseworthy as success itself, and that both are deserved of being recognised and rewarded.

The awards are open to individuals of all ages and communities and the judging will solely be on the accomplishment or effort of the nominated person.  There are three categories of awards to nominate your star from, and all winners will be celebrated at our family oriented awards dinner.

This is your chance to thank those that you look up to; those that have sacrificed their time, money and effort to help society; or those that have contributed to the success of Aberdeen’s excellent reputation and standing. There are no limits to the nominations that can be made, but we do ask that those that are nominated either live in Aberdeen or have lived here in the past and ideally can travel to Aberdeen easily, as there is no awards ceremony without the Star there to collect the awards!

AMAA’s launch will be in March 2014, followed by the nomination process being promoted throughout Aberdeen City & Shire via our supporting organisations.  Judging will take place by experts from each category, with results being announced in October at the awards dinner.

The team at AMAA wishes everyone good fortune and hopes to see the future role models of Aberdeen nominating their role models and recognising effort and excellence.
